Key Areas of Impact
Technical Support & Incident Management
- End-to-End Ownership: Deliver high-quality 1st and 2nd line technical support, managing 15–20 incidents daily from logging to resolution.
- Call Excellence: Respond to inbound support calls promptly, maintaining a Grade of Service above 85%.
- SLA Compliance: Resolve incidents within agreed service levels and manage third-party service calls to ensure timely completion.
Infrastructure & Optimization
- Core Maintenance: Assist with the installation, configuration, and optimization of server hardware, storage, and virtualization platforms.
- Proactive Monitoring: Utilize monitoring tools to investigate root causes of system alerts and address recurring issues to improve stability.
- System Administration: Manage user accounts and permissions using Microsoft Active Directory and ensure security via antivirus and patching protocols.
Collaboration & Communication
- Team Synergy: Work closely with Service Desk Agents and technical teams to ensure seamless outcomes.
- User Engagement: Translate complex technical issues into clear, actionable communication for non-technical users.
What You Need to Succeed
Experience & Qualifications
- Education: Grade 12 (Matric) is essential; an IT Diploma or CCNA is highly advantageous.
- Certifications: MCSA / MCP or equivalent technical certification.
- Proven Track Record: At least 3 years in a Service Desk or IT support environment.
Technical Skill Set
- OS & Software: Expert knowledge of Windows OS and Office 365.
- Networking: Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, Ethernet, and VPN.
- Mobile Support: Experience supporting handheld devices (iOS and Android).
- System Admin: Solid experience with Active Directory; exposure to SCCM, SCOM, or Orchestrator is a distinct plus.
