At AVI, our IT Shared Services division ensures our SAP landscape is stable, innovative, and future-ready. Our SAP HR environment is a complex, business-critical machine—covering weekly and monthly payrolls, diverse time management models, and global integrations.

We are looking for an SAP HCM Support Manager who brings deep technical credibility and configuration expertise. This is a unique opportunity to remain hands-on with complex SAP work while stepping into a broader leadership role to influence HR technology strategy across the Group.

Where You’ll Make an Impact

Technical Authority & Strategy

• Subject Matter Expertise: Act as the Group’s authority across Payroll, Time, OM, PA, PD, ESS/MSS, CATS, and Workflow.
• System Health: Own configuration standards and validate the implementation of SAP Notes, Support Packs, and Legal Change Packs.
• Roadmap Influence: Advise on the future HR technology strategy and the transition towards cloud or S/4HANA HXM environments.

Project Leadership & Delivery

• Full-Lifecycle Management: Lead enhancements and implementations, coordinating both internal and external resources for on-time, high-quality delivery.
• Governance: Uphold strict documentation quality and compliance processes across all SAP HCM modules.

Hands-On Support & Mentorship

• Advanced Configuration: Dive into the details when required, particularly in Payroll and Time schemas, rules, and integrations.
• Team Guidance: Lead a small team of Technical and Functional Consultants, fostering a “zero-tolerance” mindset for incident backlogs.
• Stakeholder Bridge: Translate complex technical concepts into clear business language for HR Shared Services and Group leadership.

What You Need to Succeed

Essential Technical Experience

• Configuration Mastery: Minimum 8+ years of hands-on SAP HCM configuration; expertise in Payroll and Time is non-negotiable.
• Implementation History: Participation in at least 5 full-lifecycle implementations.
• Environment Knowledge: Strong understanding of customized SAP environments, statutory compliance, and schema development.
• Integration Skills: Experience with third-party integrations using ALE/PI.

Leadership & Qualifications

• Certification: Current SAP HCM Certification is essential.
• Education: Tertiary qualification in IT (Preferred).
• Leadership Drive: While extensive management history isn’t required, you must demonstrate the ability to coach others and manage stakeholders under pressure.
• Advantageous: Project Management certification (PMP/Agile) and knowledge of ABAP or SuccessFactors.
