Academic Delivery & Assessment
- Future-Focused Teaching: Create learning experiences that motivate and challenge students, moving beyond traditional methods to global educational trends.
- Core Skills: Equip children with essential foundation phase skills, specifically in reading, literacy, and numeracy.
- Reporting: Manage continuous academic assessment and provide detailed reporting to parents and school leadership.
Student & Community Engagement
- Behavior Management: Maintain a positive and disciplined classroom environment using effective student behavior management techniques.
- Partnerships: Build constructive, ongoing relationships with parents, guardians, and the local Copperleaf community.
- Collaboration: Communicate respectfully and openly with the broader learning community and school colleagues.
Administration & Safety
- Compliance: Ensure all administrative duties, including attendance and record-keeping, are accurate and up to date.
- Safety: Maintain high standards of Health & Safety within the classroom; hold a valid First Aid certification.
✅ Qualifications & Experience
- Education: An undergraduate degree (NQF Level 6) in ECD or B.Ed (Foundation Phase).
- Note: A PGCE is required if your degree is in a related field like Psychology.
- Professional Registration: Valid SACE certification and a recent Police Clearance are mandatory.
- Experience: 2–5 years of teaching experience in a Foundation Phase environment.
- Technical Skills: High levels of computer and digital literacy.
