🎯 Main Purpose of the Job
As a Stacker within the Feedmill department, you are responsible for the final handling of finished products. Your primary duty is to ensure that products are stacked safely and correctly onto pallets according to prescribed procedures. You act as a final point of quality control, ensuring that only perfect products reach the dispatch stage while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
Stock Handling & Palletization
- Stacking: Transfer finished products onto pallets precisely as per the company’s prescribed procedures to ensure load stability.
- Quality Control: Inspect products and pallets during the stacking process; identify, isolate, and report any damaged items.
- Re-work Coordination: Move damaged goods to the designated re-work area and alert the supervisor of any suspected quality deviations.
Operational Support
- Housekeeping: Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization within your specific work area.
- Flexibility: Execute any other reasonable duties as assigned by the supervisor to support the Production Coordinator.
✅ Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Minimum Grade 12 (Matric).
- Experience: At least 6 months of experience working in a production environment.
- Language: Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently to follow safety and procedural instructions.
🧠 Physical & Personal Attributes
- Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit and able-bodied to handle the manual labor involved in stacking feed products.
- Coordination: Good hand/eye coordination is essential for speed and accuracy.
- Availability: Must be prepared to work rotating shifts as per production requirements.
