This role is central to the “Meeting Centre,” where you will balance switchboard management with complex room coordination and facilities support.

Front of House & Switchboard

  • First Impressions: Serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring client hospitality standards are met.
  • Access Control: Manage visitor registration, issue access cards, and uphold security protocols.
  • Communication: Operate the switchboard, directing calls accurately and managing message relays with a high level of telephone etiquette.

Meeting Centre Coordination

  • Scheduling: Manage digital booking systems for meeting rooms and resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Team Synergy: Coordinate with catering, cleaning, and IT/technical teams to ensure rooms are perfectly prepared for every session.
  • Escalation: Monitor room usage and escalate facility-related issues to the Facilities Management team.

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Clerical Tasks: Assist with printing, scanning, filing, and managing courier arrangements.
  • Reporting: Support the Facilities team with logs, front-of-house documentation, and reporting.
  • Compliance: Adhere to site safety and emergency procedures, assisting with visitor tracking during evacuations.

  • Education: Matric / Grade 12 (Essential).
  • Experience: * 2โ€“3 years in a reception, front-of-house, or switchboard role (Preferred).
    • Experience in a corporate environment, ideally within facilities management or client-focused services.

  • Knowledge: An advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
