๐ŸŽฏ Purpose of the Job

As a Global Grade 04 Warehouse Assistant, you are responsible for the high-precision movement of technical parts within a fast-paced environment. This role is highly system-dependent, requiring you to bridge the gap between physical stock movement and digital inventory management. You will support both the general warehouse and the specialized Workshop by ensuring that every partโ€”from a small bolt to a heavy engine componentโ€”is tracked, binned, and dispatched with 100% accuracy.


๐Ÿ”‘ Key Outputs

Inventory & System Mastery

  • Scanning & EWM: Use RF (Radio Frequency) devices to scan every item into the SAP EWM system, ensuring real-time inventory visibility.
  • Binning & Counting: Perform accurate binning of parts into their designated locations and participate in regular stock counts to maintain high inventory integrity.
  • System Coordination: Utilize CRM, SAP-R3, and EWM to consolidate jobs and verify that orders are complete before they leave the warehouse.

Material Handling & Order Fulfillment

  • Specialized Equipment: Safely operate Forklifts, Pallet Jacks, and Reach Trucks to navigate high-density racking.
  • Inbound/Outbound: Verify deliveries against purchase orders, inspecting for damages or discrepancies immediately upon arrival.
  • Workshop Delivery: Accurately pick and process orders specifically for the Workshop, ensuring the correct technical parts are delivered to artisans on time.

Planning & Compliance

  • Schedule Maintenance: Update planning databases to ensure the operations workflow remains on track.
  • 6S & Housekeeping: Adhere to 6S principles (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety) to maintain a world-class, hazard-free environment.
  • Reporting: Use PCB (Process Control Boards) to report and record issues that hinder operations or safety concerns.

โœ… Minimum Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Education: Grade 12 (Matric). A tertiary qualification in Logistics or Supply Chain is an advantage.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or remanufacturing environment is highly beneficial.
  • Licensing: Valid Reach Truck and Forklift licenses are required.

Technical Skills

  • System Knowledge: Experience with SAP-R3 and EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) is a major advantage.
  • Digital Literacy: Proficiency in RF scanners and basic MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Process Driven: A strong understanding of warehouse workflows and “Process Control” methods.
