This isn’t just an internship; it is an accelerated pipeline into key management roles. You will be immersed in a 100% South African company with a staff complement of over 60,000, gaining exposure to complex business concepts, cutting-edge security technology, and large-scale operational management.
Strategic Learning Outcomes
During this 18-month rotation, you will master several core business pillars:
- Operational Excellence: Learn to lead teams and manage resources across technical services, guarding, cash processing, and armed response.
- Financial & Strategic Analysis: Understand annual financial cycles, optimize spending, and conduct SWOT analyses to drive business growth.
- Regulatory & Legal Frameworks: Gain deep knowledge of industry-shaping legislation, including the PSIRA Act, Firearms Control Act, POI Act, and BCEA.
- Sales & Business Development: Master the sales cycle and learn how to manage customer contracts and stakeholder expectations.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Engage with external role players, including the SAPS, community forums, and employer organizations.
Programme Requirements
- Education: A completed Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to the security and services industry. A Postgraduate degree is highly advantageous.
- Experience: 0–1 years of working experience.
- Mobility: Must have a valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle. You must be willing to rotate between different sites and offices.
- Location: Based in or willing to relocate to Johannesburg.
- Integrity: A clear criminal record is mandatory.
- Tech Savvy: Fully computer literate in the MS Office Suite.
