🎯 Purpose of the Role
SSK is seeking a physically fit, reliable, and hardworking individual to join their Agriland feed store in Swellendam. In this role, you will handle manual labor duties associated with agricultural feed and retail stock, maintain strict store hygiene and food safety standards, operate vehicle equipment when needed, and deliver dependable support to SSK’s farming and retail customers.
🔑 Key Responsibilities & Duties
Manual Labor & Stock Operations
- Feed Handling: Carry out physical labor tasks, including loading, offloading, stacking, and moving heavy animal feed bags, bulk farm products, and agricultural supplies.
- Product Dispatch: Assist customers and drivers with order collection and accurate vehicle loading.
Housekeeping & Food Safety
- Store Hygiene: Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary conditions across the feed store, warehouse, and loading bays.
- Risk & Food Safety Management: Adhere strictly to agricultural feed safety guidelines, pest control practices, and health and safety risk mitigation protocols.
General Tasks & Communication
- Customer Interaction: Communicate respectfully and efficiently with farming clients, team members, and store management in both Afrikaans and English.
- Driving / Logistics: Utilize a Code EB driver’s license to drive light vehicles or transport stock on-site/between store bays as required.
✅ Minimum Requirements
- Education: Minimum Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
- Driver’s License: Valid Code EB (Code 8) driver’s license (Essential).
- Language Proficiency: Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English (spoken and written).
- Physical & Mental Fitness: Good mental and physical health, with the physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy feed bags in challenging warehouse conditions.
