We are seeking an experienced Delivery Driver to join a leading water purification and bottled water services provider in Somerset West. This is a vital “frontline” role where you will be responsible for the daily distribution of large-volume water supplies. You are not just a driver; you are a brand ambassador responsible for maintaining professional client relationships while managing a high-intensity delivery schedule.
Key Areas of Impact
Physical Distribution & Logistics
- High-Volume Delivery: Transport and deliver approximately 120 × 20L water bottles daily to a variety of residential and commercial customers.
- Manual Handling: Load and offload heavy products repetitively, ensuring products are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily basic checks on the delivery vehicle and ensure it is kept clean and presentable for client-facing work.
Customer Service Excellence
- Client Interaction: Provide courteous and reliable service at all delivery points, acting as the primary point of contact for our customers.
- Accuracy: Ensure that delivery quantities match invoices exactly and resolve any on-site customer queries with a service-oriented mindset.
- Punctuality: Maintain a strict delivery schedule to ensure all customers receive their water within agreed-upon timeframes.
What You Need to Succeed
Minimum Requirements
- Experience: Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a distribution-focused role.
- Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit and capable of handling repetitive heavy lifting (20L bottles weigh approximately 20kg each).
- Licensing: A valid South African driver’s licence.
- Organization: Must be reliable, punctual, and well-organized to handle a busy daily route.
