🔑 Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Growth
- Client Acquisition: Proactively identify and secure new customers within the construction and industrial sectors.
- Account Management: Form dynamic relationships with existing clients to increase their current spend and ensure long-term loyalty.
- Stock Management: Monitor client inventory to ensure they never run out of critical construction products.
Technical Sales & Solutions
- Product Expertise: Leverage your deep knowledge of construction materials to provide tailored solutions for complex client needs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (Logistics/Finance) to ensure seamless delivery and problem resolution.
- Problem Solving: Act as a first responder to client issues, solving technical or logistical challenges efficiently.
Administration & Professionalism
- Reporting: Maintain sound administrative practices, providing management with accurate sales reports and call logs.
- Professional Conduct: Represent the brand with a high-level business attitude in every transaction.
✅ Minimum Requirements (Non-Negotiable)
- Education: Grade 12 (Matric). A Sales or Marketing qualification is highly advantageous.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience specifically in construction and/or industrial product sales. (General retail sales will not be considered).
- Driver’s License: Must possess a valid, unendorsed driver’s licence.
- Travel: Must be willing to undertake country trips and work flexible hours to meet client demands.
- Technical Skills: Computer literate (essential for reporting and CRM).
