🎯 Purpose of the Role
Fidelity Services Group is seeking a disciplined and reliable Security Officer to join their Carolina operations, specifically within the mining sector. You will be responsible for protecting high-value assets, managing site access, and ensuring the safety of personnel. This role requires an individual who is physically fit and capable of maintaining high levels of alertness in a demanding industrial environment.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
Safeguarding & Surveillance
- Patrolling: Conduct regular foot or vehicle patrols of the mining perimeter and designated areas to deter unauthorized access.
- Safeguarding: Protect company property, equipment, and personnel from theft, vandalism, or harm.
- Observation: Maintain a high level of situational awareness to identify and report suspicious activities immediately.
Access & Documentation
- Entrance/Exit Control: Manage the flow of people and vehicles entering and leaving the site, ensuring all security protocols are followed.
- Registers: Accurately complete and maintain occurrence books (OB), visitor logs, and vehicle registers.
- Report Writing: Compile clear and concise reports regarding incidents or shift handovers.
✅ Requirements
- Education: Minimum Grade 10.
- Professional Registration: PSIRA Grade C accredited and registered (Essential).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in the security industry.
- Location: Must currently reside in the Carolina area (applications from outside the area will not be considered).
- Clearance: No criminal record; must be willing to undergo regular criminal background checks.
- Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit and capable of performing active security duties.
