Role Overview
V&A Personnel is urgently seeking hardworking and reliable General Workers to join our team for the busy Festive (Christmas) Season. We are looking for energetic individuals who are ready to start immediately to help manage the increased operational demands of the holiday period.
This is a physically demanding role that requires stamina, a “can-do” attitude, and the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Logistics Support: Primary responsibility involves the heavy loading and off-loading of delivery trucks.
- Manual Labour: Safely carrying, moving, and stacking boxes and various equipment.
- Operational Efficiency: Assisting the team to ensure that turnaround times for incoming and outgoing stock are met.
- Safety Adherence: Maintaining a safe workspace while performing manual tasks.
Requirements
- Education: A valid Matric Certificate (Grade 12) is mandatory.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): You must own and provide your own Safety Boots and Overalls.
- Physical Fitness: Must be exceptionally fit and capable of lifting and carrying heavy items throughout the shift.
- Availability: Must be able to start immediately and work through the festive season.
- Location: Candidates residing in or near Tembisa are preferred.
Compensation
- Rate: R23.19 per hour.
