๐ŸŽฏ Purpose of the Job

The Junior Business Development Manager is responsible for expanding the company’s footprint within the Gauteng region. This role focuses on the “B2B” side of automotiveโ€”building high-level relationships with Dealer Principals, Sales Managers, and F&I Managers to ensure the brand remains the preferred choice for referrals and business support.


๐Ÿ”‘ Key Responsibilities

Relationship Management & Rapport

  • Dealership Liaison: Build and maintain strong, influential relationships with key personnel, including Dealer Principals (DPs) and Finance & Insurance (F&I) Managers.
  • Effective Interaction: Act as the face of the brand, answering questions, handling objections, and persuasively communicating the product’s value proposition.
  • Follow-up Strategy: Develop and execute a regular “call cycle” or follow-up strategy to maximize support and encourage consistent referrals.

Strategic Market Development

  • Qualifying Clients: Identify and vet potential clients that meet the company’s specific requirements and capacity.
  • Trigger Points: Identify what motivates specific dealer personnel (their “trigger points”) and communicate these insights to the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to refine strategies.
  • Social Media & Tools: Utilize social media exposure and digital tracking tools to enhance brand visibility and lead generation.

Collaboration & Alignment

  • Reporting: Work closely with the RSM to recommend individual dealer strategies.
  • Problem Solving: Match the clientโ€™s needs and requirements with the companyโ€™s specific solutions.

โœ… Minimum Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

  • Experience: Proven working experience as a Business Development Manager, Vehicle Sales Executive, or a highly relevant automotive sales role.
  • Track Record: A proven sales track record is a mandatory requirement.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent (Degree/Diploma in Sales/Business is a benefit).
  • Communication: Exceptional proficiency in English with strong negotiation and rapport-building skills.
  • Technical: Proficient in MS Office and CRM software.

Highly Advantageous

  • Strong experience in social media marketing and digital sales tools.
  • Direct experience working within a dealership environment.
