Fidelity Services Group is hiring a well-groomed Hotel Security Officer in Cape Town. Manage guest safety, patrol premises, and respond to emergencies in a luxury hospitality environment. Requires Matric, 3+ years of Hospitality Security experience, and valid PSIRA (A–C).

🎯 Purpose of the Role

This role is specifically tailored for the hospitality sector, where security and high-end customer service intersect. As a Hotel Security Officer, you are not only a guardian of the premises but also an ambassador for the hotel. You will be responsible for creating a safe, welcoming environment for international and local guests while maintaining a vigilant, “eyes-on” approach to potential safety hazards or security breaches.


🔑 Key Responsibilities

Vigilance & Deterrence

  • Active Patrols: Conduct regular rounds of all hotel areas, including lobbies, guest floors, parking, and back-of-house facilities.
  • Proactive Monitoring: Observe security systems (CCTV) and physical surroundings to identify breaches or hazards before they escalate.
  • Professional Presence: Act as a visible deterrent by maintaining an alert and highly professional stance at all times.

Incident & Emergency Response

  • Rapid Intervention: Respond to various incidents including physical disturbances, reported thefts, and medical emergencies.
  • Investigations: Conduct initial on-site investigations into security matters and coordinate with local law enforcement (SAPS) when necessary.
  • Policy Enforcement: Monitor both guest and staff behavior to ensure strict compliance with established hotel policies.

Guest Relations & Admin

  • Customer Service: Assist guests with queries, concerns, or special needs, ensuring security protocols do not negatively impact the guest experience.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate daily logs and complete detailed, professional reports for every security incident.

✅ Minimum Requirements

  • Certification: Valid PSIRA Certificate (Grade A, B, or C).
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience specifically within Hospitality/Hotel Security.
  • Education: Grade 12 (Matric) is mandatory.
  • Physicality: Must be physically fit and capable of standing or walking for long durations.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to make rapid, sound decisions under extreme pressure.

🧠 Additional Requirements

  • Presentation: Must be exceptionally well-groomed and presented at all times (Hospitality standards).
  • Flexibility: Must be willing to work a shifting schedule, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Vetting: Must be willing to undergo a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
