Role Purpose
Studio Vanta is a Centurion-based design studio dedicated to creating bold, functional digital experiences for startups, creators, and communities. We are looking for passionate, curious, and motivated design students or recent graduates to join our 3-month mentorship programme. This internship is specifically structured to help emerging designers build a professional, real-world portfolio while receiving direct guidance from experienced senior designers.

- Identity Systems: How to build cohesive branding kits, including logo architecture, typography, and color theory.
- UI/UX Fundamentals: Creating website wireframes and visual designs using Figma.
- Social Architecture: Developing high-impact social media content and layouts.
- The Pitch: How to structure professional design presentations and communicate your creative ideas to clients.
👩💻 What You’ll Do
- Conceptualize: Assist in developing brand and web design concepts for live and mock projects.
- Asset Creation: Build mockups, layouts, and design assets for various digital platforms.
- Shadow & Review: Participate in creative reviews and shadow real client projects to understand studio workflows.
- Collaborate: Use modern asynchronous tools like Slack, Figma, and Notion to work with the team.
What You Need to Succeed
Requirements
- Status: Current design student or recent graduate (Graphic, Digital, Communication, or UI/UX Design).
- Location: Must be based in South Africa.
- Design Eye: A good eye for layout, typography, and color balance.
- Soft Skills: Eager to learn, reliable, and highly receptive to constructive feedback.
Software Tools
- Core: We primarily use Figma and Canva (both free).
- Adobe Suite: If you have access to Adobe through school/personal license, you are welcome to use it, but it is not a requirement for this role.
