🎯 Purpose of the Role
This role is designed for a structured, proactive, and educationally-focused Au Pair. The primary goal is to provide seamless afternoon support for a Grade 7 learner at Reddam House Atlantic Seaboard. You will act as a mentor and coordinator, ensuring school pickups are on time, homework is completed to a high standard, and the afternoon schedule runs efficiently between two different home locations.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
Academic Support & Mentorship
- Homework Supervision: Provide dedicated assistance and supervision for Grade 7 curriculum tasks.
- Subject Focus: You must be proficient in assisting with Grade 7 Mathematics and Afrikaans.
Logistics & Errands
- Pickups: Collect the child from Reddam Atlantic Seaboard daily.
- Transport: Drive the child to and from various extra-mural activities.
- Family Support: Run general family errands and prepare simple, nutritious meals for the child.
Occasional Flexibility
- Holidays: Maintain similar working hours during school holidays.
- Babysitting: Be available for occasional evening or weekend work (by prior arrangement).
✅ Minimum Requirements (Non-Negotiable)
- Experience: At least 12 consecutive months of formal childcare experience (excluding family/friends) within the last 2 years.
- References: At least 2 contactable childcare references (these will be strictly verified).
- Vehicle: Must have your own, reliable car and at least 18 months of driving experience.
- Education: National Senior Certificate (Matric).
- Citizenship: Must have a valid South African ID document.
- Clearance: A clean criminal record is mandatory.
