Role Purpose

Empact Group is seeking a professional and versatile Cashier to join our Food Solutions division in the scenic Franschhoek region. This role is ideal for a service-oriented individual who excels at managing high-volume transactions while supporting the broader operations of a professional food service environment. You will be the face of our service, ensuring every customer enjoys a seamless experience from selection to payment.

Key Areas of Impact

Point of Sale Operations

• Cashiering Excellence: Accurately process all customer transactions, ensuring precise cash handling and adherence to financial protocols.
• Service Standards: Provide a world-class service experience, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor during peak service hours.
• Financial Integrity: Be responsible for daily reconciliations and maintaining a clean, organized point-of-sale area.

Inventory & Merchandising

• Beverage Management: Monitor and restock all beverage stations to ensure a full variety is available for guests at all times.
• General Supplies: Maintain the availability of condiments, cutlery, and other general service supplies.
• Presentation: Ensure that all displayed items are neatly arranged and comply with Empact Group’s visual standards.

General Food Service Support

• Operational Versatility: Assist the food service team with general duties as required to ensure smooth service flow.
• Hygiene & Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations pertinent to a food and beverage environment.
• Customer Liaison: Act as a bridge between the kitchen and the customer, addressing queries regarding the daily menu and offerings.

What You Need to Succeed

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Matric (Grade 12) is essential.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a dedicated cashiering role.
• Advantageous: Previous experience within a food service or catering operation.

• Cash Handling: Proven ability to manage cash accurately and honestly.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse clients and team members.
