Role Overview
Novus Print is seeking two (2) highly motivated IT Interns to join our Cape Town-based IT team. This is a premier opportunity for ambitious students who are currently studying towards an IT qualification and require mandatory in-service training or work exposure to complete their credentials.
As part of the IT team, you will be immersed in the day-to-day operations of a large-scale printing and manufacturing organization, gaining hands-on experience in end-user support, network maintenance, and systems integration.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Technical Support: Provide 1st and 2nd level IT support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware, software, desktop, and server issues.
- Systems Maintenance: Assist the team with regular planned maintenance of local networks and core systems to ensure minimal downtime.
- Helpdesk Operations: Manage calls logged to the IT help-desk, focusing on efficient resolution and high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Project Assistance: Suggest upgrades, implementation strategies, and integration solutions to improve the existing IT infrastructure.
- Infrastructure Admin: Assist with the provisioning of end-user resources and carry out essential administrative duties to ensure effective departmental processes.
- Service Delivery: Develop an understanding of corporate service level agreements (SLAs) and the importance of meeting strict deadlines.
Educational & Experience Requirements
- Education: Currently in the process of obtaining a relevant Qualification in Information Technology.
- Requirement: Must specifically require a 12-month period of work exposure/in-service training as part of your curriculum.
- Experience: No prior professional experience required; however, a strong technical aptitude and a desire to learn are essential.
