Role Overview
Fidelity Security Services is seeking an experienced and authoritative Control Room Manager to lead our tactical operations hub in Cape Town. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless integration of surveillance, alarm monitoring, and emergency response coordination.
The successful candidate will be a high-level professional with PSIRA Grade A registration, a proven track record in management, and the ability to maintain operational excellence under high-pressure conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee and coordinate the 24/7 functions of the control room, ensuring all shifts are manned and operational protocols are met.
- Incident Management: Direct the response to security breaches and emergencies, coordinating between field units and stakeholders.
- Team Management: Supervise, train, and mentor a team of control room operators to ensure high performance and strict adherence to SOPs.
- Systems Oversight: Ensure constant monitoring of CCTV networks and alarm systems, troubleshooting technical issues as they arise.
- Compliance & Reporting: Maintain meticulous records and documentation; ensure all operations comply with national security regulations.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for law enforcement and external security partners during joint operations.
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this management position, you must possess:
- Certification: Active PSIRA Grade A registration (non-negotiable).
- Experience: * Extensive hands-on experience in control room operations.
- Proven experience in a management or senior supervisory role within the security industry.
- Skills:
- Strong command of CCTV software and alarm monitoring platforms.
- Exceptional multitasking abilities and a detail-oriented approach.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
