Key Learning Areas & Responsibilities
In this role, you will be mentored and exposed to various core accounting functions, including:
- Cash Book Management: Assisting with the recording and reconciliation of daily cash transactions.
- Creditors (Accounts Payable): Processing supplier invoices and ensuring accurate payment cycles.
- Foreign Payments: Gaining unique exposure to international transactions and foreign currency creditors.
- Financial Administration: Supporting the finance team with data entry, filing, and month-end reporting tasks.
- Retail Exposure: Understanding the financial complexities of a high-volume retail business model.
Candidate Requirements
- Education: A completed Finance Degree (e.g., BCom Accounting or similar) is mandatory.
- Experience: No prior experience is required (ideal for graduates); however, 1–2 years of relevant experience will be considered an advantage.
- Skills: * Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
