You will turn raw data from POS systems, logistics, and suppliers into actionable retail intelligence that impacts everything from shelf stocking to customer promotions.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
Data Engineering & ETL
- Pipeline Development: Design and maintain robust ETL/ELT processes using Python to ingest data from POS, inventory, and supplier portals.
- Automation: Use tools like Airflow or Luigi to automate data workflows and ensure timely delivery of insights.
- Warehouse Modeling: Manage the Data Warehouse using Kimball/Star Schema principles to ensure a “single source of truth” optimized for fast querying.
Advanced BI & Visualization
- Power BI: Develop interactive dashboards using DAX and Power Query to provide real-time insights into sales performance and store efficiency.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Marketing teams to translate business challenges into technical data solutions.
Cloud & DevOps Orchestration
- Containerization: Utilize Docker to containerize data applications.
- Orchestration: Deploy and manage applications on Kubernetes (K8s) to ensure high availability and scalability.
- CI/CD: Manage version control via Git and implement automated deployment pipelines.
✅ Minimum Requirements
- Education: Bachelors Degree or Advanced Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
- Technical Stack (Must-Haves):
- Python: Expert at data manipulation (Pandas, SQL Alchemy).
- SQL: Advanced querying and data analysis.
- Power BI: Expert level (Data Modeling and DAX).
- DevOps: Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience: * Proven track record as a BI Developer or Data Engineer.
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT pipeline construction.
- Advantageous: * Previous experience in Retail or FMCG.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Helm).
