Role Overview
Fidelity Services Group is seeking a highly disciplined and skilled Armed Escort Driver to join our elite security team in Cape Town. In this high-stakes role, you will be responsible for the secure, timely transportation of valuable cargo.
The ideal candidate is a professional who thrives under pressure, possesses expert-level driving skills in armored vehicles, and maintains an unwavering commitment to safety and protocol.
Key Responsibilities
- Secure Logistics: Transport valuable cargo to designated locations with maximum vigilance and punctuality.
- Operational Security: Adhere strictly to company security protocols and state/federal laws regarding the movement of high-value goods.
- Vehicle Readiness: Perform routine maintenance checks and ensure the armored vehicle is in peak operating condition and clean at all times.
- Crisis Management: Maintain a calm, effective response during emergency situations or security threats.
- Tactical Proficiency: Maintain expert-level proficiency in firearms (Handgun, Rifle, and Shotgun) to be deployed if necessary.
- Communication: Coordinate effectively with dispatch and team members to ensure seamless mission completion.
What We Are Looking For
To be successful in this role, you must meet the following mandatory requirements:
- Licensing & Certification:
- Valid PSIRA Certificate.
- Valid Driver’s License with PrDP and a clean driving record.
- Firearm Competency: Valid armed competency for Handgun, Rifle, and Shotgun.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience specifically driving armored vehicles.
- Physicality: Ability to lift and move heavy items as required during loading/unloading.
- Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal communication and the ability to follow complex security instructions.
- Resilience: Proven ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
