๐ŸŽฏ Purpose of the Internship

This program is designed for current education students who are eager to gain hands-on experience in one of South Africaโ€™s premier private school environments. As a Boarding Intern, you will play a dual role: supporting the academic growth of students while acting as a professional and caring role model within the schoolโ€™s residential boarding house. This is a unique opportunity to understand the holistic “24-hour” educational experience offered at Crawford International.


๐Ÿ”‘ Key Responsibilities

Boarding & Pastoral Care

  • Mentorship: Act as a respectful and professional role model for female boarders, providing guidance and support.
  • Supervision: Assist with the daily operations of the boarding house, including evening study sessions and weekend activities.
  • Environment: Ensure a safe, caring, and organized residential environment where students can thrive outside of classroom hours.

Academic & Professional Development

  • Classroom Support: Assist senior teachers in the classroom to gain practical experience in your field of study.
  • Collaboration: Work with the broader school team to implement innovative teaching and learning strategies.
  • School Brand Ambassadorship: Represent the values of Crawford International through professional conduct and communication with parents and staff.

โœ… Requirements

  • Education: Matric and currently Registered for a relevant Teaching degree (B.Ed or PGCE).
  • Professional Standards: * SACE registration (provisional or student status).
    • Recent Police Clearance and clear criminal checks.
  • Attributes:

    • Self-motivated, organized, and innovative.
