🎯 Purpose of the Role
Starke Ayres is a global specialist in premium vegetable, flower, and lawn seeds. As a Picker Packer, you are the final link in the warehouse chain, ensuring that the correct seed varieties are accurately selected, packed, and prepared for commercial and home garden customers. 🔑 Key Responsibilities
Order Fulfillment & Quality Control
- Accurate Picking: Select products and assemble orders exactly as per customer specifications, transferring them to holding areas for final inspection.
- Reference Verification: Double-check seed reference numbers against orders; any discrepancies must be reported to the Stock Controller immediately.
- Packaging Standards: Ensure all items are clean, neatly labeled, and in “saleable” condition before they leave the warehouse.
Stock & Warehouse Management
- Stock Monitoring: Advise the Stock Controller of out-of-stock items and await further instructions.
- Stock Takes: Participate in bi-annual and ad-hoc stock counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Housekeeping: Keep work areas organized and clean at all times to ensure a safe and efficient workflow.
Customer Service & Administration
- Front-of-House: Assist walk-in customers with basic product information.
- Invoicing: Provide administrative support by assisting with the invoicing of customer orders.
- Security: Adhere to all security protocols to protect company assets, products, and the facility.
