Role Purpose

In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for Australian policyholders, assisting them with insurance claims, policy amendments, and product inquiries. You will provide “peace of mind” by delivering first-call resolutions and ensuring that every customer interaction is handled with empathy and technical precision.
Key Areas of Impact
Customer Experience & Sales
- First-Call Resolution: Manage inbound inquiries to provide immediate solutions for policyholders, ensuring requests are executed to high international standards.
- Needs Analysis: Use probing questions to gather relevant information, allowing you to accurately assist with claims or policy changes.
- Value-Added Selling: Identify opportunities to up-sell products and additional benefits that best meet the customer’s needs, influencing positive purchase decisions.
Policy Administration
- Information Capture: Obtain and capture precise data from insured persons to facilitate the seamless settling of claims.
- Amendments: Process policy updates, including changes to personal details, addresses, and banking information.
- Compliance: Adhere to mandatory procedures and regulatory codes of conduct (both South African and Australian) to ensure all work meets industry standards.
Professional Development
- Personal Capability: Participate in ongoing coaching and training to stay ahead of industry best practices and evolving insurance technology.
- Scheduling: Maintain strict adherence to the Night Shift schedule to align with Australian business hours.
What You Need to Succeed
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Matric / Grade 12 (SAQA Accredited) is essential.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience (Essential).
- Advantage: 1 year of call centre experience within the Financial Services industry is highly beneficial.
