Role Purpose
The primary objective of this role is to implement and oversee an effective maintenance system within high-value customer facilities. You will be responsible for ensuring that all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are delivered with precision, maintaining the structural and operational integrity of the client’s infrastructure.
Main Outputs & Responsibilities
Maintenance & Infrastructure Management
- SLA Delivery: Ensure all buildings and equipment are maintained according to scheduled, preventative, or emergency job plans, ensuring full compliance with legislation and SLAs.
- Mast & Infrastructure: Prepare detailed scopes of work for infrastructure maintenance and small works projects; oversee end-to-end contractor management.
- Strategy Review: Actively review and improve Infrastructure and Maintenance strategies to ensure long-term facility sustainability.
- Risk Identification: Proactively identify maintenance risks on client equipment and develop strategies for evaluation and resolution.
Project & Technical Oversight
- Project Lifecycle: Provide end-to-end support for projects as requested by the Project Management team.
- Inspections: Facilitate and lead technical inspections in collaboration with appointed consultants and specialized contractors.
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Conduct thorough investigations into infrastructure failures and submit comprehensive failure reports to prevent recurrence.
Compliance & Governance
- Enforce OHS Act standards, ISO 9001 Quality Management, and internal Risk Management systems across all sites.
What You Need to Succeed
Qualifications
- Formal Education: National Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related technical field).
- Senior Certificate: Matric (Senior Certificate) is essential.
- Driver’s License: Valid SA Driver’s License (Frequent travel to customer sites is required).
Experience & Technical Skills
- Proven Track Record: At least 3 years of relevant engineering experience in facilities maintenance, CRM, and Property Management.
- Software Proficiency: Intermediate skill level in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and MS Project.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Sound understanding of the OHS Act and Quality Management Systems.

- Analytical Reasoning: Ability to perform interactive reasoning and detailed failure analysis.
- Project Planning: Strong skills in objective setting, scheduling, and meeting strict deadlines.
- Leadership: Basic supervisory skills with an interest in building the capacity of subordinates.
