We are looking for a commercial expert and inspirational leader to manage our Mall of the North boutique—a high-turnover environment that demands excellence in customer experience, aesthetic standards, and operational precision.

Key Areas of Impact

Commercial Excellence & Profitability

• Financial Stewardship: Achieve annual sales budgets by driving daily and monthly targets. You will manage all financial aspects of the store to ensure maximum profitability.
• Strategic Growth: Identify opportunities to increase turnover and market share while managing store expenses effectively.

Brand & Inventory Management

• Aesthetic Standards: Maintain meticulous visual merchandising standards in line with Poetry’s brand requirements to ensure a curated product mix.
• Stock Integrity: Implement rigorous stock management and controls to minimize shrinkage and ensure 100% product availability for our customers.

People Leadership & Culture

• Human Resources: Manage the full HR lifecycle, including recruitment, payroll administration, and strategic labor planning.
• Team Development: Inspire, motivate, and develop your team. You are responsible for holding team members accountable while aligning them with our unique company culture.
• Relationship Building: Foster excellent relationships with internal stakeholders and external service providers to ensure seamless operations.

Compliance & Safety

• Operational Rigor: Enforce all company policies, procedures, and Health & Safety practices to ensure a safe and compliant shopping environment.

What You Need to Succeed

Experience & Requirements

• Retail Tenure: Minimum of 8 years’ retail experience, with at least 5 years in a Store Management role.
• High-Volume Expertise: Proven experience managing a large retail store with an annual turnover exceeding R20 million.
• Education & Background: Matric (equivalent) and a clear criminal record.
• Systems: High level of computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite).
