Role Overview

Are you a detail-oriented analytical thinker with a passion for helping organizations optimize their controls? SNG Grant Thornton is seeking an Internal Audit Senior Consultant to join our dynamic Business Risk Services team.

In this pivotal role, you will advise clients on internal audit programs, conduct sophisticated risk assessments, and deliver practical solutions that drive business improvement. You will lead engagements, build lasting client relationships, and mentor junior team members while staying at the forefront of industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities (What You’ll Do)

• End-to-End Leadership: Lead internal audit engagements from initial planning through to completion and reporting.
• Risk & Control Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and evaluate the effectiveness of internal control environments.
• Program Development: Design and implement tailored internal audit programs specific to client needs.
• Strategic Advisory: Identify operational improvement opportunities and provide actionable, high-impact recommendations.
• Client Liaison: Communicate findings clearly to stakeholders and guide clients through remediation efforts.
• Team Mentorship: Coach and mentor junior colleagues to foster professional growth and technical excellence.
• Industry Leadership: Stay updated on evolving industry trends and internal auditing standards (IIA).

Candidate Requirements (What We’re Looking For)

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certification: Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or CPA/CA(SA) designation is highly preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in internal auditing or a closely related professional services field.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and modern auditing software.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Mobility: Willingness to travel to various client sites as required.
