๐ŸŒŸ Role Purpose

This position serves as the central operational hub for managing retailer queries, delivery issues, and reporting within the SPAR network. As a senior lead, you will bridge the gap between warehouse/transport networks and retailers, driving operational efficiency through proactive problem-solving and team mentorship.


๐Ÿ”‘ Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

  • Supervision: Lead and mentor the customer care team, ensuring adherence to service standards and best practices.
  • Staffing: Monitor absenteeism, timekeeping, and overtime. Manage schedules for weekends and public holidays.
  • Delegation: Allocate administrative tasks effectively to optimize productivity and meet deadlines.
  • Meetings: Conduct regular department meetings to ensure alignment and accountability.

Reporting & Operations

  • Data Analysis: Compile, analyze, and report on delivery statistics to drive continuous improvement across departments.
  • Platform Oversight: Ensure timeous responses on Channel Mobile and other digital platforms.
  • Problem Solving: Support the team in resolving challenging customer situations and escalate retailer concerns appropriately.

Communication & Liaison

  • Inter-departmental Hub: Facilitate seamless communication between operational departments (Warehouse/Transport) and Retailers.
  • Customer Excellence: Maintain a strong focus on both internal and external customer care, ensuring every interaction reflects SPAR’s service excellence.

โœ… Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Matric (Grade 12) certificate.
  • Experience: 3โ€“4 years in Logistics, Administration, or Customer Service.
  • Leadership: Proven experience in a supervisory or team-leader role (or clear evidence of readiness for leadership).
  • Technical Skills: * Proficiency with AS400 (Essential).
    • Experience with communication platforms like AgentChat, WhatsApp, and Email.
    • Strong reporting and data analysis skills.
