Job Purpose
The primary objective of this role is to facilitate the academic journey of our students through expert lecturing, assessment development, and proactive academic support. You will be responsible for tracking module progress, identifying “at-risk” students, and collaborating with the Central Academic Team to ensure high-quality learning outcomes.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Academic Delivery: Facilitate accounting modules in alignment with specific module pacers and curriculum requirements.
- Assessment & Evaluation: Prepare students for assessments, develop assessment materials following Central Academic Team briefings, and provide timely, constructive feedback via the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze student results and engagement levels. Assist the Programme Coordinator in identifying “at-risk” modules and implementing corrective interventions.
- Content Development: Design and develop innovative Teaching-Learning materials to achieve module-specific outcomes.
- Research & Development: Conduct scholarly research in the Accounting discipline or the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SOTL) to contribute to the brandโs intellectual capital.
- Professional Growth: Participate in academic professional development interventions each cycle to enhance personal academic status and institutional practice.
- Operations: Support student registration, orientation, and academic meetings across faculties. Provide mentorship to part-time lecturers.
Minimum Requirements
- Education:Honours Degree in Accounting (NQF Level 8).
- Advantageous: A Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education (PGDHE) or a PGCE.
- Experience: * 1 to 3 years of industry-specific experience in Accounting/Finance.
- A minimum of 3 years of Lecturing experience in a higher education environment.
- Technical Skills: * Proficiency with digitalized academic platforms and Learning Management Systems.
- Deep understanding of Teaching and Learning theories and interventions.

Working Hours
- Classes are scheduled between 08:00 and 17:00, Monday to Friday.
