As a Stores Assistant at Epiroc, you are a critical link in the mining supply chain. You will oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring that inventory is managed with precision to support production and customer service. You will act as a lead for the storemen, ensuring that every partโ€”from specialized mining spare parts to general stockโ€”is received, stored, and dispatched according to global audit standards.


๐Ÿ”‘ Your Mission: Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership & Inventory Control

  • Supervision: Lead and supervise a team of storemen, allocating daily tasks for receiving, storing, and dispatching.
  • Stock Management: Prevent shortages and overstocking by managing inventory levels for both stock and non-stock items.
  • System Integrity: Maintain accurate records in the M3 system, conducting regular cycle counts, stock takes, and resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Expediting: Collaborate with service teams to plan and expedite urgent spare parts requirements.

Compliance & Administration

  • Documentation: Process and manage all warehouse paperwork in strict alignment with audit and company compliance standards.
  • Logistics Tracking: Monitor goods in transit and manage repair components to ensure the system reflects physical reality.
  • Safety (SHEQ): Ensure 100% compliance with environment, health, and safety standards, including PPE usage and rigorous housekeeping.

Process Improvement

  • Reporting: Prepare regular inventory reports for management.
  • Optimization: Identify gaps in current warehouse processes and implement practical improvements.

โœ… Your Profile: Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Grade 12 or equivalent.
    • Advantage: Further certification in Logistics or Warehouse Management.
  • Experience: * Minimum 3 yearsโ€™ experience in a warehouse/store environment.
    • At least 1 year specifically in an administrative or supervisory role.
  • Systems: Familiarity with stock control processes; knowledge of M3 or similar ERP systems is preferred.
  • Flexibility: Must be willing to work shifts and provide standby, callout, or overtime support when required.
