We aren’t just looking for a shop assistant; we are looking for a future product expert who is passionate about spares, tools, and heavy machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Sales: Engage with a diverse customer base—from DIY enthusiasts to professional engineers—to provide expert product advice and drive branch sales.
- Merchandising Excellence: Maintain high store standards through effective product displays and organized shelving.
- Inventory Accuracy: Assist with stock control, regular stock-takes, and ensuring the right tools are always available for our clients.
- Branch Operations: Support daily retail procedures, including point-of-sale transactions and general store maintenance.
- Relationship Building: Foster long-term, professional relationships with local contractors and hobbyists through exceptional service.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Senior Certificate (Matric / Grade 12).
- Environment Preference: Prior exposure to the Automotive, Engineering, or Tools and Machinery sectors is highly preferred.
- Technical Advantage: Knowledge of DIY tools or the hardware environment will be a significant added advantage.
- Retail Experience: Experience in merchandising, stock taking, and general retail procedures is beneficial.
- Attributes: * Confident, reliable, and honest.
- A team player with a hunger for continuous technical learning.
Working Hours & Benefits
- Salary: Negotiable based on experience, with benefits available.
- Hours: Monday – Friday (08:00 – 17:00) and Saturdays (08:00 – 13:00).
