You will be responsible for the high-quality installation of electronic equipment into a wide range of vehicles. This is a mobile role that requires technical meticulousness, professional presentation, and the ability to work independently at customer-specified locations.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
Technical Installations
- Vehicle Variety: Install sophisticated units into motorbikes, trucks, buses, passenger vehicles, and plant machinery.
- Quality Standards: Ensure every installation meets Tracker’s strict quality and safety benchmarks.
- Fault-Finding: Use advanced techniques to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during or after installation.
Customer Service & Communication
- Mobile Service: Perform installations at sites convenient to the customer, requiring punctuality and professionalism.
- Professional Conduct: Communicate the installation process clearly and courteously to clients at all times.
- Customer Care: Ensure a high standard of service that reflects the Tracker brand.
Administration & Support
- Documentation: Accurately complete all paperwork associated with installations and stock.
- Team Support: Assist other departments, staff members, and regional branches when required.
- Stock Management: Be responsible for determining and requesting additional stock or equipment needed for tasks.
✅ Minimum Requirements
- Education: Grade 10 (Matric is highly advantageous).
- Certification: Active PSIRA Registration is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience as an auto electrician, motor mechanic, or in the installation of tracking devices and vehicle alarms.
- License: Valid driver’s license (held for at least 12 months).
- Technical: Computer literate and prepared to travel.
Advantageous Qualifications
- National Technical Certificate (NTC) in Automotive Electronics or Motor Mechanics.
