🎯 Purpose of the Role
As an Armed Response Officer for Fidelity ADT, you are the frontline of community protection. You will be responsible for responding to alarm activations, conducting proactive patrols in residential and commercial areas, and providing a visible security presence to deter criminal activity. This role requires high levels of discipline, quick decision-making under pressure, and a commitment to public safety.
🔑 Key Areas of Responsibility
- Rapid Response: Respond immediately to emergency signals and alarm activations from the monitoring center.
- Proactive Patrolling: Maintain a high-visibility presence within assigned sectors to prevent crime.
- Site Inspections: Conduct thorough perimeter checks at client premises to ensure all entry points are secure.
- Incident Management: Handle security breaches and emergency situations according to strict legal and company protocols.
- Reporting: Provide accurate verbal and written feedback on all incidents and alarm activations.
✅ Minimum Requirements
- Education: Minimum Grade 10.
- Professional Registration: Valid PSIRA Grade C (registered and active).
- Licensing: Valid Driver’s License is essential.
- Firearm Qualifications: Firearm Competency (Handgun for Business Purposes) is mandatory.
- Clearance: No criminal record.
- Physical Condition: Must be physically fit and in good health to handle the demands of the role.
- Location: Must currently reside in the Western Cape (specifically around Cape Town).
